Comment to this post saying 'I like cheese!' and I will list five things I associate with you. They might make sense or they might be totally random. Then post that list, with your commentary, to your LJ (or just add a reply back at me). Other people (including me) can get lists from you, and the meme merrily perpetuates itself.

I... don't even know what to say. Her list for me was odd. XD She said Cheese, Dresden Files, letters, chocolate chip cookies, RP.

1. Cheese.

I feel oddly ridiculous, devoting a paragraph to cheese. I do <3 it, though, especially when combined with mushrooms. Macaroni and cheese (though I like fusilli too) is one of my favourite dishes, the cheesier the better, and I have a pretty good tolerance for 'cheesiness' in my foods; I can polish off New York New York's mac and cheese and enjoy it, while some of my friends would give up halfway through. I also love Pastamania's Cheesy Crumble pasta, and I love baked rice and pasta dishes for the cheesy goodness - Pastamania does an AMAZING mushroom baked rice, with button and bunashimeji mushrooms and cheese, and Swensen's mushroom baked rice is awesome too. When I reheat pizza I add extra cheese, too; mozzarella cheese is awesome. <3 And Marché's rösti with raclette cheese is delicious, and I love cheesesticks and all sorts of cheese-flavoured stuff too. Basically, melted cheese makes everything better.

I was confused as to why Mysti associates me with cheese, then I remembered that I'd had macaroni and cheese when meeting her at Swensens' for my birthday last year. And later I'd had cheesesticks. XD Also, I'm a cheesy person. >_>

2. Dresden Files.

Mysti, I blame you completely. XP I seem to have found myself a new fandom; I'm only staying away from fanfic and discussion boards so I don't stumble across spoilers. I LOVE Harry Dresden's wiseass remarks; I'd quote one but there are so many awesome instances! Like this gem from Blood Rites:

"Who the hell are you?" he growled.
"I the hell am Harry," I said.
He pulled out his own gym bag and slammed the car door closed. "You always a wiseass?"
"No. Sometimes I'm asleep."

And this one from Grave Peril:

"Holy shit," I breathed. "Hellhounds."
"Harry," Michael said sternly. "You know I hate it when you swear."
"You're right. Sorry. Holy shit," I breathed, "heck-hounds.

(Have I mentioned how much I love Michael Carpenter? Because I do. <3 And Thomas Raith. <3)

And from Blood Rites again, as they're preparing to enter the lair of a scourge of Black Court vampires:

"Okay," Kincaid said. "Anyone have any questions?"
"Why do they sell hot dogs in packages of ten but hot dog buns in packages of eight?" I said.

Everyone glared at me. I should probably leave off wizarding and chase my dream of becoming a
stand-up comedian.

XD I love the banter between Dresden and Murphy too. This is from Blood Rites, when he's somewhat trapped.

"Took you long enough," I said to Murphy. "I was going to run out of actual sentences and just start
screaming incoherently."
"That's what happens when your vocabulary count is lower than your bowling average."
"Me not like woman with smart mouth," I said. "Woman shut smart mouth and get me free or no wild
monkey love for you."

I will stop now. XD Otherwise I'm going to go on about them and Michael and Thomas and Mister and Bob the Skull. I'm done with the first six books and am on the seventh one, Dead Beat, right now. Myst loves the series and I have a huge amount of respect for her taste, so I was pretty sure I'd like it, but wasn't expecting to become this much of a fangirl. XD

3. Letters.

I haven't sent Myst many letters, but last year she sent me a few beautifully calligraphed little notes that really meant a lot to me. One of them in particular helped get me through the A Levels; sometimes when it became too much I'd break down and cry from the pressure and stress and fear, and after that I'd reread that one note and draw strength from her words.

In addition to mailing birthday cards and/or gifts to people like her, eidolon_bird , steadfast , and various others, sometimes I like to just write a letter the old-fashioned way (heck, once in a while I actually do use a quill and ink on parchment-like paper, though usually I use normal pens and paper), talking about random stuff, and mail it via snail mail. There is something wonderfully satisfying about finishing a letter and mailing it, and I love hearing that it's been received. I love receiving mail too. Also, right now I'm horribly tempted by seals and sealing wax. >_> I know where to get them, after all. However, the ones at Typo are just pretty snowflakes and the ones at Art Friend are plain initials. I like the idea of sealing it with an S, but the ones at Art Friend, while pretty, are too plain for my garish tastes, so I'm looking for something a little more ornate. >_> Either an S with ornamentation or a pretty symbol that speaks to me, though I doubt I'll find any seals with the ankh or wedjat. XD ... although I could try making one...

4. Chocolate chip cookies.

I don't even know why she chose this in particular, but yes, I'm a chocoholic. Normal chocolate, hot chocolate, iced chocolate, chocolate milkshakes, brownies, chocolate cake, chocolate cookies, I love it all. :9 I love milk and dark chocolate but hate white chocolate, though.

5. RP.

I may not have roleplayed much recently, but there was a time when every spare moment I had was spent roleplaying with her, steadfast  and starspiritgate  on AIM, if all four of us were online. I also roleplayed on LiveJournal a lot with various people, and wrote lots of fics about my RP characters that I often asked her to edit. So I'm not surprised. XD

I really miss RP, but even if I had the energy and inclination to do so now - and sometimes I do feel like it - I don't know. My old RP partners aren't exactly available either, for various reasons, and all the grand plans we laid have come to naught. It makes me sad, but there's not much I can do about it. :/
