Awww, thank you! <3 My Gabriel has travelled a lot, in the old days, and seen most of Earth, but he was particularly fond of the Middle East and spent quite a lot of time there. Plus, Islam is similar to Judeo-Christianity in some ways - for instance, they venerate the same angels. And in Islam it was Gabriel who dictated the Quran to the prophet Muhammad, though they call him Jibril or Jibrail, so I thought it would fit if he was fond of the people (ironic as Michael's supposed to protect Israel and we all know what Islamic countries think of Israel). And I myself am quite fond of the culture, so I enjoyed writing this!
