I Am A: Lawful Good Elf Paladin (2nd Level)

Ability Scores:

Strength-14

Dexterity-13

Constitution-12

Intelligence-15

Wisdom-16

Charisma-13

Alignment:
Lawful Good A lawful good character acts as a good person is expected or required to act. He combines a commitment to oppose evil with the discipline to fight relentlessly. He tells the truth, keeps his word, helps those in need, and speaks out against injustice. A lawful good character hates to see the guilty go unpunished. Lawful good is the best alignment you can be because it combines honor and compassion. However, lawful good can be a dangerous alignment when it restricts freedom and criminalizes self-interest.

Race:
Elves are known for their poetry, song, and magical arts, but when danger threatens they show great skill with weapons and strategy. Elves can live to be over 700 years old and, by human standards, are slow to make friends and enemies, and even slower to forget them. Elves are slim and stand 4.5 to 5.5 feet tall. They have no facial or body hair, prefer comfortable clothes, and possess unearthly grace. Many others races find them hauntingly beautiful.

Class:
Paladins take their adventures seriously, and even a mundane mission is, in the heart of the paladin, a personal test an opportunity to demonstrate bravery, to learn tactics, and to find ways to do good. Divine power protects these warriors of virtue, warding off harm, protecting from disease, healing, and guarding against fear. The paladin can also direct this power to help others, healing wounds or curing diseases, and also use it to destroy evil. Experienced paladins can smite evil foes and turn away undead. A paladin's Wisdom score should be high, as this determines the maximum spell level that they can cast. Many of the paladin's special abilities also benefit from a high Charisma score.

Hey, maybe this explains my fascination with the full moon. XD

You were born during a Full moon

- what it says about you -

You've spent your life in the middle of things, whether it's between people who oppose each other, ideas that oppose each other, or places that are very different. You're very aware of perspectives outside the norm and good at anticipating how different people will see a situation. You value second opinions, because they give you a feeling of balance. You don't have a single group of friends and the people you spend time with may not have a lot in common with each other.

What phase was the moon at on your birthday? Find out at Spacefem.com

And that is kind of true. :D

Your result for The Sorting Hat: A Comprehensive Harry Potter Personality Assessment [Test/Quiz]...

Gryffindor

38% Ravenclaw, 44% Hufflepuff, 45% Slytherin and 68% Gryffindor!

You might belong in Gryffindor,

Where dwell the brave at heart,

Their daring, nerve, and chivalry

Set Gryffindors apart;

Gryffindor's cardinal traits are bravery, pride, stubbornness and impulsiveness. Most people in the house of Gryffindor will be extraverted. (Remember, introversion is different than being shy: you can be a shy extrovert.) Gryffindors gain energy and life by being around people, grain strength from friends and enjoy working with those close to them. However, they are also emotionally volatile and can experience a wide range of feelings in a short amount of time, from unbridled happiness to deep depression to unrestrained rage. They are less emotionally stable than some of the other houses (such as Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff); Gryffindors are also impulsive. They're also generally good-hearted and trusting, and for the most part like people at first sight unless they are given a reason not to. Gryffindors are Prideful, bad at taking criticism and easily get into conflicts with others—this is the main trait that would bring their overall level of agreeableness from high to average.

A Gryffindor's prideful nature coupled with their sense of justice and stubborn behavior causes them to be extremely set in their ways. They have a difficult time backing down from a fight or admitting that they are wrong. It's also very hard for them to get over a bad first impression or change their opinion on someone.

Take The Sorting Hat: A Comprehensive Harry Potter Personality Assessment [Test/Quiz] at HelloQuizzy

On one hand, GO GO GRYFFINDOR! I'm happy with that result (and Pottermore damn well better put me in Gryffindor) because I love the ideals Gryffindor stands for and I always did feel it fit me (although I'm not very extraverted; the Myers-Briggs test has me as an INFP if I recall correctly). However, if I couldn't get Gryffindor, I always felt Ravenclaw would be the next choice. Not Slytherin. D: I don't think I'm cunning.

Ah well. Except for the 'extrovert' part (and the criticism pat; I generally accept concrit), this does fit me. :D

I am Michael Carpenter.
I am one of those honored by God to serve His Will as a Knight of the Cross. My faith is strong, unshakeable -- and deadly to the truly evil. It's my job to seek them out, to get them to change if I can, and to stop them if I must.
And I am not alone in this. Never alone. God watches over me and sees that I am sent where I am most needed. I carry the holy sword Amoracchius at my side -- that nail you see in the hilt came from the Cross. The other Knights stand by me. My wife and children are just as fierce as I am -- God help you should you try to find out if it's otherwise. And there are others.
Together we all stand, shoulder to shoulder, against the darkness. Our faith has been tried, tested, and proven resolute. No matter the cost, no matter how bloodied you might make us, we will not bow, and we cannot fail. God's Will be done -- on Earth, by our hands.

I love Michael Carpenter so much. <3

Find your Celestial Choir

The life of the party? Uh-huh. I did get a shock when one of my classmates told me recently that I talk to people easily and am easy nto talk to, since I considered myself socially inept, but even if I have changed I wouldn't consider myself the life of the party. I went to dinner at a friend's house the other night and... well, it was nice to see my secondary school friends again, but I'm not really one of them. I was sitting on the edge with my best friend and we both agreed that if you don't share their interests, it's hard to mix, even though it really isn't their fault.

But the bit about laughing at life's quirks does fit me, now. So most of this does fit me.

However, the questions... depending on my mood that day, the situation, and various other factors, I would probably react differently to the given situations, so I took it again a couple of times, choosing my other possible reactions according to what I'd do depending on my different moods or reactions to the possible situations.

I got Mercurim again, and then I got Malakim.

Find your Celestial Choir

Diligent? Somber? A natural air of leadership? A knack for strategy and tactics? Pff. Yeah, right.

But the other things fit me well enough, really. If I love doing something I can be pretty tireless about it, I guess. And the second paragraph totally fits me. Cooool.

I got Mercurim again, and then I got something called Ofanim.

Find your Celestial Choir

... I do like living in the moment, I guess, and yeah, if I'm dedicated to something I can be pretty energetic about it. And some people have jokingly complained about my sarcasm. Again, the second paragraph is pretty accurate.

Ohh, Ofanim are the Wheels! I was a little confused when reading about Wheels in my angelology research (for role-play).

So basically, I fit in three different types of celestial choirs, but mainly it's Mercurim. Oh, btw, I did one for my roleplay character, the archangel Gabriel ([livejournal.com profile] cattygabriel) and he turned out to be a Cherubim. Which is what he actually is, according to my research (well, the bits of it that don't contradict each other - seriously people, agree on something!) so that's all right then. ^_^

sivaroobini: (Crowley inner turmoil)

I could just ask my sister, who will graduate with a degree in psychology soon, but she'd probably have too much fun 'diagnosing' me with all sorts of weird questions.

Wow.

How can someone be both avoidant and dependant?! And I often thought I was antisocial. Hmm. The questions aren't specific enough, though. These things vary according to situations. In school I may prefer being alone, but online I can be chatty.

What's schizotypal disorder? *goes to check it out*

Quick Summary:

Many believe that schizotypal personality disorder represents mild schizophrenia. The disorder is characterized by odd forms of thinking and perceiving, and individuals with this disorder often seek isolation from others. They sometimes believe to have extra sensory ability or that unrelated events relate to them in some important way. They generally engage in eccentric behavior and have difficulty concentrating for long periods of time. Their speech is often over elaborate and difficult to follow.

Symptoms of Schizotypal Personality Disorder:

  • Odd or eccentric mannerisms or appearance
  • Superstitious or preoccupied with paranormal phenomena
  • Difficult to follow speech patterns
  • Feelings of anxiety in social situations
  • Suspiciousness and paranoia
  • Odd beliefs or magical thinking
  • Appears shy, aloof, or withdrawn to others

Wow. Strangely, quite a bit of this does fit me. Hmm.

Okay, I was taking a quiz on Facebook, What Ancient Hero Are You? I was hoping for some Greek hero like Odysseus or someone of the sort. Since when was JESUS CHRIST an ancient hero?

Sivaroobini completed the quiz "Which ancient hero are you?" with the result Jesus.
You are Jesus, the self-proclaimed Anointed One and Son of God. You're an odd kind of hero. You don't fight, you're not a king (at least, not of this world), most of your people despise you, and you suffer the most humiliating execution imaginable. Yet you changed the world, perhaps more than any one else in history. You claim to be the son of God, which makes you either a lunatic or an object of worship (to paraphrase C.S. Lewis), or maybe it just makes you an even bigger egotist than Achilles. In any event, you told us to love one another. And isn't that better than killing each other like most of these heroes do?.

Seriously... I. Am. Jesus. Christ?! *dies laughing*
sivaroobini: (Tartan is stylish)

As I mentioned in my ealier post, I was taking some personality tests for my role-play character, the Archangel Gabriel. This result SHOCKED me.

So Gabriel, an archangel from Judaeo-Christian mythology, gets this:

QuizGalaxy.com

And I, a practising Hindu, get this:

QuizGalaxy.com

Well. Anyway. I clicked on some others for myself, after being amused by my RP character's results. Apparently, my dear archangel's name's Secret Meaning was that he was a pirate. XDDD I didn't post that result at [livejournal.com profile] cattygabriel , because I felt rather sorry for him. I checked mine...

Sivaroobini,
your name's Secret Meaning is...
"A Movie Trivia Master"

LOL. In a way, it does fit me. I also checked out the Secret Fear.

QuizGalaxy.comYour greatest fear is that you will become a vampire.

So I fear becoming a vampire, while Gabriel apparently fears being stepped on by Bigfoot. XP I didn't post that one at [livejournal.com profile] cattygabriel  either, the poor angel does need to retain some shred of dignity. I've already turned him into an absent-minded cat-lover who's not very good with technology despite being fascinated by it. He does get better with practice though.

But in a way, I do fear becoming a vampire. Not only would I have to survive on blood, not only would I have to take other innocent lives to prolong mine, but I wouldn't be able to be around my loved ones for their own safety. Also, I actually want to die (in my own time, of course!). I'm really curious about the afterlife, and anyway I do believe in God, so death doesn't really hold fear for me. As a Hindu, I also believe that I'll most probably be reincarnated, seeing as how I doubt I'll achieve enlightenment in this life, but eventually I (hopefully) will be able to be free of the wheel of reincarnation, and my soul will attain a higher level of consciousness.

That's why I don't want to be immortal. One day, I may find the answers to all those big questions I wonder about, but that day will most probably be only after I die (and not after this life either; it'll probably take a few reincarnations). Also, as an immortal I'd have to watch the people and places and things I care about pass away while I endure.  So maybe I'm really weird, but the fact remains that I wouldn't want to be an immortal.

Anyway, vampires don't even exist, so I don't need to worry! ^_^

And I think that's enough for now. I was planning to keep my LJ light and family-friendly and now I've spent a couple of paragraphs going on about religion and death. XP So I shall sign off for now.

sivaroobini: (Isis)

I was taking some personality tests for my role-play character, Archangel Gabriel, to put at [livejournal.com profile] cattygabriel , but they were interesting and really amusing, so I thought I'd take some for myself as well.

I definitely agree with this ^ one!

You should be a Vampire
QuizGalaxy.com
You like to go sexy/scary at Halloween. You love horror movies and the ideals of Halloween (and all of the candy doesn’t hurt either). You are very laid back and love to chill with your friends watching scary movies on Halloween.

^ I DO NOT WANT TO GO 'SEXY' AT HALLOWE'EN! But being a vampire would be cool.

You are Catherine the Great!
QuizGalaxy.com
You are very intelligent and a socialist. It is very important to you that all people be treated equally in a society. You are able to fully comprehend social problems and you are outspoken when it comes to dealing with them.

You are Severus Snape!
QuizGalaxy.com
You are a whiz at potions and skilled at working as a double agent for Dumbledore and Voldemort. But who’s side are you on? Although you may have been lead astray by the dark lord initially, you are really fighting the good fight, as a spy against the death eaters. Or is it the other way around?

NOOO! I'M THE GREASY-HAIRED GIT! Okay, admittedly he was great in Deathly Hallows and I cried for him and think he's a good man now, but I still wouldn't want this sort of result...

You are not a Geek!
QuizGalaxy.com
You are not into anything typically considered geeky. In fact, you probably make fun of every geek you see. Come to think of it, you're probably that serial killer who has been killing all of those nerds.

I am so not a serial killer. XDDD

You are a Forced Dancer!
QuizGalaxy.com
O.k. so you don’t like dancing that much, it may even take you a few drinks to get on the dance floor. Your friends usually have to drag you out to the clubs because it’s not your cup of tea. Try letting loose though (even in private) and see where it takes you – dancing is unbelievably relaxing. What have you got to lose?

^ Oddly, this fits what happened to me during Disco Nite (during the JC Orientation).

You should have grown up during the Twenties.
QuizGalaxy.com
You are cool, sophisticated and hip – even by today’s standards. You like things before they are considered cool, and you like them long afterwards.

Great. Apparently some random results generator on a website is the only thing that thinks I'm cool. XP

Quite a few of these seem to have one thing in common, though - intelligence. ;P

sivaroobini: (Tartan is stylish)

I'm messing about on Quizilla while making some icons, that I shall upload later. In the meantime, let's see which animal I am, shall we?

Snake

You're very distant from most people and the people who you aren't distant with understand you well. Dark people often have reasons to why they became the way they are, and some people find that both attractive and intriguing. But you really don't care what they think anyway, and in some cases that's a bad thing. Try to talk to people about what's going on with you, it might help ease the hurt.

WTH?! And I was just Googling pictures of snakes to make a Good Omens icon. But seriously, a snake?! The emblem of Salazar Slytherin? The sacred Naga? On the one hand, my inner Good Omens nerd is happy about it, because I have something in common with Crowley. On the other hand, my inner Harry Potter fangirl is screaming in shock. And the Hindu part of me is pretty content.

But seriously. I'm most like a snake? Admittedly, this quiz had six questions. And weirdly, it's pretty accurate on some counts.

A quiz about handwriting threw this up.

Loving, home based person.

You are exceptional at being both sympathetic and empathetic. People love you for you and you love people for the same reason. Youlove your family, you know that they will always be there for you.

Huh.

And I took a Harry Potter character quiz. I've always thought of myself as an odd mixture of Hermione, Luna and Remus.

Harry Potter

Who is he? Everyone knows who he is!

I kid you not. Harry Potter?! Wow.

I took a Good Omens character test at a different site and look!

1054305679_Aziraphale.jpg

Aziraphale. Wow. And here I was hoping for Crowley, although to be honest I kind of expected it. I mean, just like Aziraphale, I'm extremely bookish, I rather like tartan, although I personally wouldn't wear it, I love chocolate, I try to do the good thing but sometimes end up in trouble for it, and am sadly out of touch with pop culture.

A The Lord of The Rings test says...

Elrond

The Lord of Rivendell, where the hobbits seek refuge and are joined by others to create the Fellowship of the Ring; secret holder of Vilya (one of the Three Rings).

Huh. Wow. I suppose that makes me all wise and lordly. ;P I'm an Elf!

A Marauder test says...

For 60 % you are: JAMES POTTER. You have a big head and good friends. Get your head out of the clouds, there are more important things than Quidditch.

JAMES?! I was expecting Remus! I tried again at a different site.

Which Marauder are you? (Harry Potter)
James Potter Harry's father who is murdered by Voldemort.

"Harry's father who is murdered by Voldemort". Niiice.

I tried again, with all the Harry Potter characters this time.

Which Harry Potter Character Are You?
Hermione You’re book smart, moral and cool under pressure. You love learning and showing others what you know. You’re way more mature than those around you, and you always seem to know what’s best.
Fun quizzes, surveys & blog quizzes by Quibblo

Awesome. I'm Hermione. XD

A Twilight test says...

For 45 % you are: You are very much like Carlisle. You are kind and considerate.

Carlisle. Cool!

Another one...

You Scored as :
Esme Cullen

You are a mother to everyone.

Wow.

I took another one at a different site.

Bella Swan
You are Bella Swan, the apple of Edward's eye. You are very private, clumsy, sweet, and funny. You have a wonderful ability to accept people (or mythical creatures) for what they are. You have an amazing capacity to love, even though you can be too hard on yourself.

Bella Swan
If I'm Bella, then where's my Edward?

Anyway. Off to make some more icons... I'll post them later if I can. They'll be mostly Good Omens, but I'm working on some Harry Potter ones right now (I seem to have a werewolf fixation, so at least two will be about a certain werewolf professor) and possibly Twilight ones as well.

~ Sivaroobini

Zillionth edit later: Okay, I am sick and tired of this. I had taken two more Twilight tests, both with pictures along with the text. One said I was Esme, the other Bella, and there was a pretty cool picture of Bella. No matter how many times I edit this to check if it's still here, they just won't show in the final post.
sivaroobini: (Isis)

I am totally in love with the Twilight series!!! So far I've finished Twilight, New Moon, and Eclipse, and shall be starting Breaking Dawn soon.

I cannot even begin to say how much I'm addicted to those totally hot vampires.  The story has me totally under its spell. Edward Cullen is, like, the perfect boyfriend! I seriously envy Bella Swan. Then again, considering the number of murderous vampires she's had to escape from, perhaps I don't envy her that much after all.

Anyway, in the book Bella's seriously clumsy. I'm also quite clumsy, but when I first read Twilight I thought, 'At least I'm not as clumsy as Bella is'. Kismet set out to prove me WRONG. I mean, I always do fall down somehow and get hurt, but the number of scars I've collected in the past couple of weeks, since I thought that, is ridiculous. Who gets scratched on a door edge, for crying out loud?!

The sixth Harry Potter movie moved from Nov 21st this year to July 17th next year. I'm not complaining - this means I can go see it for my seventeenth birthday! Plus the Twilight movie has moved into its slot!!! On November 21st - Edward Cullen, here I come!!! The trailer rocks! My exams end just before it, too, so I can celebrate by going to see it. :DDDDD

Anyway I just took a test that says what sort of food I am (through a link at my friend Dheva's blog). I took the Sandwich one and lookie what I got! It actually describes me pretty well. ;P Even though I hate peanut butter.

You Are a Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich
You life your life in a free form, artistic style.
You are incredibly creative and at times, quite messy.
Deep down, you are a kid at heart. And you aren't afraid to express it.

I had my English O Level Oral exam yesterday and I think I screwed up! :(

Before the actual Oral, we had to sit and wait. I had Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata stuck in my head. o_O Oh, and I was reading Eclipse, the third book in the Twilight series. Then Sreeganesh next to me started whistling the tune for the old Addams Family cartoon and that got stuck in my head. <_<  While sitting in the waiting area we could see the examiners, and it seemed like there was this huge guillotine behind them!

Sreeganesh kept burping; he was practically burping every minute for hours! Randy and Tania and Ranjini and everyone were complaining. I think it was nerves, but I was overcome by a giggly fit and kept giggling everytime he burped. Definitely nerves - I do NOT giggle normally.

I was freaking nervous; I felt like puking. Then my turn finally came after two hours, and I had to sit in a chair and study the given passage and picture for ten minutes, and as I held the paper I could see how badly my hand was shaking.

Then the examiners called me forward. Now, under normal circumstances, I talk very fast. Especially if I'm feeling a heightened emotion, like anger or happiness or excitement. So I was scared I'd rush during the exam. First I had to read the passage out loud, and I went fast. I kept trying to make myself slow down, honest, but I could hear my heart thudding ludly at, like, 100 per minute, and I was really nervous. So I kept trying to make myself slow down, but it didn't work the way it normally does. At least I managed to keep it expressive.

Then there was the picture discussion. The picture showed a bunch of kids and two adults (women; the scene was like that of a playgroup) playing. Please don't ask for more details, describing it once was bad enough. I stumbled a bit but I think it was passable at least.

Now comes the guillotine conversation segment. Now, as I've mentioned before, I plan to become an archaeologist and author. I find business boring. So when they asked me something about what sort of business I'd run and how I'd run it, I was shocked. I asked if writing and publishing them was counted, then I waffled on about how I'd write something about fantasy and/or mythology, because as a child I'd loved mythology. I talked about how when I was five I found this Norse myth, the legend of Balder. Then, *winces* I actually started telling them the legend of Baldur.  I stumbled over it because I was so nervous. And then I saw them exchanging glances, and I saw the expression on their faces. So I lopped off the ending and was like, "Anyway, so yeah, I loved that, and I also had this book of Roman myths." and left it at that. They asked me a couple of other business-related questions then, and I stammered through. I think this is the first time in my life the Oral examiners didn't tell me, "Very good," as I got up to leave.

I am so screwed for my Oral marks!!! I really have to do well for my written papers. :(

I'm having my Preliminary examinations now, and then I shall be having my O Level papers. So I may not be able to update this for a while, unless I feel like uploading a quickie fic. Namarie. (Elvish for farewell)

You will be famous for writing a national bestseller.

You are very observant and tend to be the wallflower at parties.  You are intuitive and know just how to communicate everything that you are feeling to those around you.

I took this personality quiz that assesses what I'll be famous for. Incidentally, my dream (I'm 16) is to become a famous author and use the money to fund my archaeological digs. Imagine my wonderful surprise when the quiz said I'd be famous for writing a national bestseller! I was sceptical but hey, it appears these things really work!
